Asking someone if they are struggling with their mental health is not a conversation many of us feel comfortable having but it is one that could help a colleague or loved one find much-needed support.

“There is a vulnerability in the illness that sometimes stops us from getting help, so someone around us connecting with us and then recommending that we get some support is helpful.”
But how do you start such a difficult conversation?
