Adolescents, Alcohol and Mental Health
This session is designed to inform parents and teachers about the risks of alcohol and other substances to the mental health of their children. The session is designed to be used in schools and to be followed up by the participants working together to support their young people with alcohol use issues.
Topics covered:
- the developing brain
- the impacts of alcohol and other substances on the developing brain
- resources for help and support
- the session concludes with the group formulating an action plan or framework to progress detailing their commitments to supporting young people with alcohol issues
This session is for parents, teachers and adults who engage with young people.
It is a 2 hour session suitable for up to 50 participants.
